Topic: Recognizing the Letter H
Introduction
Yesterday, children were shown the movie Happy Feet where the focus was on the letter H and quite appropriate for our lesson today.

Do you all remember that movie?What letter did the name of the movie start with?Does anyone know what this letter looks like?
Can you draw this in the air with your finger?
What sound does this letter make?
Task
By the end of the letter, each child must know the sound and recognize the letter H.
H is for horse
H is for hat
Process
Visual aids will be provided in order for children to recognize H.
Children will be asked to recognize the letter H any place in a word.
They can recognize a capital and lower case H

On these sites students will find out the meanings of the letters and different usages for the letter.
Rubric
At the end of the lesson each child will be asked to recognize the letter H in a word and in other ways. Upon identification each child will be given a “gold star”.
Conclusion
As an enrichment children will be asked to draw their favorite animals in the shape of the letter H and the next letter I will be introduced.
